Mozirski gaj is a park of flowers and an ethnographic outdoor museum in Mozirje, which the Slovenian gardens and locals arranged in the 80s of the 20th century. It was formed from an overgrown trunk of the forest, in which wild landfills were dumped. Thus, the scrubbed nature turned into a flower park.
It lies on the right bank of the Savinja River, spreading to 7 hectares of land, and is open from mid April to mid October. During this time, flower exhibitions are arranged, and themed gardens are arranged, for example, a group of aromas, medicinal herbs; Ethnographic objects are used for enrichment.
From 2016, the park will be open from December 1 to January 6 next year. During this period, the Christmas Fairy Tale of Slovenia is taking place. Park then decorate with more than a million lights.
